📚 Training
Veterinary Nursing & First Aid Training
I am currently training as a veterinary nurse in Alicante, expanding my knowledge in canine health, medical care, and emergency response. I have also completed a professional dog handling course, which includes canine first aid and basic medical training, so you can feel confident that your pet is in capable hands.
🗣️ Languages
I am a native English speaker, fluent in Spanish, and have a basic level of French, allowing me to communicate effectively with a wide range of pet owners.
🐶 Experience
For the past seven years, I’ve lived in Spain with my family—and our ever-growing pack of rescue dogs! We’ve adopted six dogs, each with their own unique needs, from playful puppies to senior dogs requiring extra care. This has given me real-world experience in handling different temperaments, medical needs, and behaviour challenges.
💉 After vet care
In addition to my own pets, I’ve pet-sat for dogs of all ages, from excitable pups to elderly companions needing gentle care. Whether it’s keeping up with an energetic dog, offering reassurance to a nervous pet, or administering medication, I tailor my approach to each individual animal. My own dog, Mylo, has complex veterinary needs, giving me firsthand experience in medication management, special dietary care, and handling pets with medical conditions.
🫶 Animal Welfare
Before moving to Spain, I grew up with cats in the UK, and my love for animals only grew stronger. I also spent four years working at an animal welfare centre in San Miguel de Salinas, where I cared for a variety of rescue animals. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of pet behaviour, rehabilitation, and the importance of compassionate, patient care.
